Destroy the History

In 2014, ISIS destroyed the Monument of Jonah, which was a sacred place where citizens went to pray and meditate. In 2001 they destroyed a large Buddha statue. Commentaries of the time reflected our distaste for the ruination of the ancient artifacts and the sacred sites of other religions. We claimed that this was bad for society.

In 2017, citizens in the US, destroyed civil war monuments and began the desire to rename schools because of their ties to the confederacy. ESPN has withdrawn a football announcer from a game in Virginia merely because his name was Robert Lee. There are those that claim that all of this is for the good of society.

Please excuse me if I seem a little bit confused.
